Upon losing my step father in October of 2019, I came across their ad. The person we met with was amazing. Five short months later I lost my mom at 2 in the morning. I didn't hesitate. I called them up again and once again everyone who came was amazing. A few months after that another family member passed and I recommended them. And to my knowledge the same person was sent out to help my extended family. These people have gone above and beyond for my family. I will always be grateful to them.

When my father passed we called Alternatives Funeral and cremation. They answered all our questions and were very clear on the cost to have my father cremated. There were no surprises. My family found the staff to be friendly, compassionate and empathetic. When we had to call back a few weeks later, because we didn’t understand some paper work, they were more than happy to help and answer our questions. They were there for us during a difficult time and we found them to be very affordable, which can be a big strain on families when a loved one passes. Their kindness & support in regards to our needs was appreciated. our family will be calling on them again, but hopefully not for a long time. Stay safe and thank you for doing a great job!

I don't normally write reviews, but after reading these many unfair reviews, I feel I had to speak up. Alternative was a pleasure to deal with and I will be using them again in the future. Their pricing was fair, honest and no hidden costs. The service received was above and beyond. We have used some bigger chain funeral services before, and after using Alternative, going elsewhere would only be a downgrade.

I asked about the Carbon Levy charges, as I read these Google reviews. They explained to me, that as with ALL businesses, they all charge this levy. And as far as the accounting error, not only did they admit the error & apologize for said error, but they also refunded every person in full. They ate up the carbon levy on those services as well. I am absolutely disgusted with how hateful some of these reviews are. And from what I have been reading, some of these reviews are from people who didn't even use their services.

Do not let these negative reviews deter you. They are amazing to deal with, and VERY professional.
