Amazing school, and amazing staff, there Is not another way to describe this school. Classes I was never able to complete in high school I was able to not only complete but surpass my expectations here! All due to the guidance and support of the amazing staff! They are helpful, well organized and so welcoming! I would recommend going here time and time again!
This school and the staff and the I am were I am today and I am so great full and all the teachers bend over backwards to help you! Lori is Amazing, she is part of the reason I graduated!
I wouldn't have been able to finish high school were it not for this school and these incredible teachers. I'm agoraphobic, terrified of being touched by or even close to other people, and had to drop out of my public school as a result of it. Not only that, but for the entire duration of my time spent at Gasoline Alley Career High School, I had a family crisis going on that left me with a very sporadic and inconsistent schedule. This was not a problem - they helped me find a schedule that worked for me, and went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable coming into their school despite all of the mental health issues that made it difficult. These are people who actually, genuinely care about their students, and they could not have made that clearer to me - I can't think of one moment that they didn't go above and beyond to help me succeed when I wouldn't have been able to in any other environment.
I am not exaggerating when I say that the staff of this school saved my life. I found them at one of the lowest points I've ever experienced, and their faith in me and commitment to helping me get my diploma even when I had all but given up on it was what I needed to find the will to push through what was happening and succeed. I have not been the same person since enrolling in their school, and I'm grateful for that every day, because if it weren't for them showing me that my mental health and family circumstances didn't have to stop me from achieving my goals, I may not be alive today, much less have the career I always dreamed of.
I cannot stress this enough: these people care. And if you put in the effort, they'll match it tenfold. Regardless of the circumstances that may leave you poorly suited for public/standard high school, I guarantee you that you will have a place in this school, and that they will do everything they can to meet your needs and help you succeed.
I was an adult student in the 2019/2020 year. I was blown away with the flexibility and willingness to work around my work schedule. Even when I had to go back home they worked with me long distance. The staff is amazing, they are dedicated to the success of their students and care about their well being. I couldn't have been more fortunate than to graduate with GACHS.
I honestly can't recommend this school enough! Ryan was an awesome English teacher and always had marks posted in a quick, timely manner as well as responded to emails within an instance. Thank you guys so much!
