My girlfriend and I booked the interactive tour where we were able to enter two of the sanctuaries. It was so interesting and so much fun. Our “guide” was Victoria (if I remember correctly), and she was phenomenal. She was so enthusiastic, energetic and informative. You could tel she loved her job and took pride in what she did. Id definitely recommend this as something to do, for a date, activity or if you’re just passing through.
I can't say enough good things about this place. From the booking being super easy, the communication leading up to our tour, and arriving. It was nice and clean, welcoming, and informative. My husband and I did the interactive tour for our wedding anniversary and it was phenomenal. Getting to see the wolf dogs up close was an incredible experience. Victoria, our guide, was so pleasant, answered all our questions, and super friendly. I highly recommend anyone to check this place out. It's a well run, well taken care of, sanctuary.
An absolutely wonderful experience. It was interesting to find out that this is the only one of its kind in Canada. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The wolf dogs are absolutely amazing. Remember to spend a few dollars in the gift shop as proceeds from the sale go towards maintaining the sanctuary. A must visit if you love animals.
We came across this place online and decided to stop by on our way to Banff. It is safe to say that this was the highlight of our trip!! We did the interactive tours and felt so incredibly safe and respected the entire time. The tour guide was incredibly educated and gave us so much information and knowledge about these animals and how to interact with them in a way that is safe and comfortable for both us, and the animals. This is such an incredible place that does meaningful and important work in protecting these animals and providing them with good lives. I forget our tour guides name but she was absolutely amazing, and as I said, so educated on these animals. It's amazing to see people so passionate about these animals working here to help them. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone.
This was one of the most educational and heartfelt experiences I have ever been to. For those who are animal lovers, or even cat people, I promise you will still fall in love. Each Wolf Dog has a story that will leave you talking about it even after you leave. You can definitely feel the passion and knowledge that all staff members have for these animals and the sanctuary is beyond beautiful. Definitely a 5+star experience that you should not miss out on!
