Kelly highly recommended! I had some engine issue up North in Fort McMurray, it was Friday evening, he drove 8 hours up to help, saved me from a potential disastrous impact on my life (I live in Vancouver)

A short while ago I made the purchase of my first airplane, a Cessna 182P. Like most pilot I was ecstatic but also anxious about all that it involved. I was even more concerned that the plane was at the Springbank airport just west of Calgary and I was in Toronto.

My plane ended up at Klarenbach Aviation Ltd. for its annual inspections and some additional upgrades. Very quickly I got to exchange phone calls with the owner, Kelly King, who was extremely helpful and courteous with me. I was made aware of all that was taking place with my plane. I was blown away one day after Kelly called me at home one night. When I answered I thought he was going to inform me of another little fix needed, but no, Kelly was calling to check on me as I appeared to be concerned with all the flaws the plane had earlier that day.

Kelly probably didn’t know I was going to become his most demanding customer by calling on a daily basis. The list of items added were: Wing-X, Vortex Generators, Garmin 750, horizontal stabs rebuilt, etc., were somewhat significant and required a lot of work, so I was always looking for an update. Not once did I feel like I was a burden for him to answer any of my calls or numerous questions.

I felt like Kelly actually owned my airplane and was treating it with the same respect. I even thought, even if his shop was 1,416nm away, if I had the time I might just fly there for my annuals.

I got my airplane a few weeks late, not because of the maintenance but because of shipping problems with US and customs (probably related in part to Covid-19). Now that the plane is here with me in Ontario, the plane is simply amazing and flies beautifully.

The most important part in my dealings with Kelly, is that there were no surprises when I received the final bill as they even reviewed it with me each time there was a change. Kelly’s communications with me were always timely, detailed and honest.

They made my anxious transition into becoming a first time airplane owner a breeze and stress free. I felt I was in trustworthy hands. I would have no reservations in recommending Klarenbach Aviation Ltd. to anyone.
