Sweetgrass Stables

This is a quiet lovely little stable with a kind hearted group of people. The horses are well taken care of and Maria notices the smallest things on your horse. The fences are quickly mended when needed and the barn is immaculate! This place is a real hidden gem.

Awesome place to board and extremely knowledgable in the care of my horse. Highly recommended.

Been here for nearly 8 years. Maria (The owner) is both a patient coach and a devoted barn owner. The barn is so shockingly clean, you'd be hard pressed to find straw on the ground. Maria works hard to ensure the upkeep of the paddocks, shelters and yard. This effort shows.

The facility is easily accessible off of hwy 566 and has amazing views of the mountains on clear days.

Maria truly cares about her boarders and their horses. She takes the time to get to know each horse and will not hesitate to let you know if she sees anything admiss with your horse. At the hint of lameness or change in appetite she is texting or calling to let you know. She also does a great job in creating good paddock mate matches for your horse.

As one of the longest running patrons, I've seen a lot of horses and people come and go throughout the years. Still, the clientele Maria serves are always respectful, kind and fun people. We have a mix of ages, abilities and genders. Highly successful jumpers and dressage competitors to the "just having fun" people, all get along at Sweetgrass. No pretentiousness and no drama.

With Maria living within sight distance across the field, I feel comfortable knowing someone is nearby if anything was to go wrong with my horse. If I am at the barn late, someone is sure to drop by and make sure everything is okay.

You can't go wrong boarding here. The welcoming atmosphere, easily accessible location, the beautiful scenery, the drama free people and the excellent care Maria provides makes it worth every penny.
