Apex Myofunctional Therapy

Sophia did a great job with my son for treatment!! She was incredibly patient and great at adapting his exercises to his needs and attention level!! I am super impressed with the progress he has made!

Sophia treated my five year old son for a year to strengthen his muscles and help correct an orofacial issue. She was so patient, and was always ready to provide alternative exercises if he did not feel comfortable with one, or was not quite ready. Sophia takes regular measurements and photos to show progress through treatment and was able to engage my son in a lively way.

The exercises provided not only strengthened my son's tongue/lip/cheeks, but also widened his palette providing more space for his teeth. Although doing exercises each day was not his favorite, he looked forward to seeing Sophia and showing off the gains he made.

Although our second child has no specific orofacial issue, we saw such great overall gains in face and mouth structure, we plan to have her assessed as well.

Sophia was amazing and so knowledgeable with what I needed! She helped me before and after my tongue tie release so much. Her personality is so contagious and was amazing when it came to working with my kids as well. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs help with strengthening their tongue and muscles!

My daughter had a posterior tongue tie and low tongue position which was causing issues with her speech. Over the course of 6 months, Sophia worked with her to strengthen her tongue muscles and widen her open mouth position, as well as teach her correct breathing techniques. The change has been incredible! Sophia's patience, encouragement and kindness to my daughter built a relationship of trust, and I'd recommend her to anyone requiring Myofunctional therapy.

Sophia was amazing. She worked with my 5 year old son to increase his tongue strength and range of motion before and after having his tongue tie fixed. She found ways to make the exercises fun, and personalized for my son. She was available for help whenever we needed it and even gave my son a prize at the end for working on his exercises the whole time!
