(December 13, 2019, 4:14 am)So Doug definitely looks the part - this is his life, his passion, but he also lives the part. Instead of just teaching some drum fills to impress friends I don't care about we started on the basics, quarter notes, etc, and within a month I am working on sub-divisions, reading sheet music, understanding the theory. He can't work miracles if you can't follow a tune, but he will teach you music, and give you exercises that you can quickly work through if you are willing to put in the time. He is patient, understanding, polite, and professional and easy to get a long with...... and I can't think of a better teacher I have ever had at anything.......
