(July 3, 2021, 6:30 pm)I grew up in this area, went to school here, my friends & family were always very active in the community and despite the terrible smell from the half dead “lake” that assaults your senses every season, it is a thriving community filled with lovely people/volunteers that truly make it a fun place to be. I have a lot of great memories of the area growing up, and I always enjoy my time here when I come back for the small events like Trail Days.
Do not come here if you are looking for a nice beach though, the locals can tell you, it’s a man made lake that dried up decades ago 😂
