I am so grateful to have taken the time to research and find a trainer like Buxton Permance Horses. Finding the right skill set was not the only quality in a horse trainer that I sought, but finding someone that connected well with their client and was honest about the horse, and clear of the working relationship with him and his clients.
I sent a green broke nervy horse to Morgan April 2020 for 3 months and he came back a completely different horse that was easier to be around with less anxiety and ready to be ridden for more miles and exposure.
Half way through the program we pulled him out for a month to add some mountain riding exposure and he handled it like a champ. Although this is not a finished horse as he is a young late started 5 year old gelding, he has since been handling trails, different arena settings, heeling on the heel o matic and obstacle work very well.
Morgan offers a great handle on the horses he works with as well as a honest communication with his clients.
I would not hesitate to bring another horse to Morgan or refer him as a trainer to friends and family.

May 2020, I called Buxton Performance Horses and told Morgan I was looking for a horse. I shared my wish list - being a team roping, breakaway prospect, Palomino, good confirmation, papered, quiet and easy going within colour, mare or gelding. Within a couple weeks Morgan found the perfect Palomino Mare that he had recently done groundwork on the year before and had started her under saddle this year. I am extremely impressed with this young mare and all the work and time Morgan has spent with her. This horse has had 6 months of training on her and I will gladly be taking her back for some more in-depth work with Team Roping and other event skills. I highly recommend Buxton Performance Horses to anyone who is either just starting out, wanting to get some colts started, needs a refresher or finishing a horse. With Morgan’s firsthand knowledge in Team Roping, Ranch Roping, Colt starting, Cowboy challenge and other Rodeo/Western events Morgan will make sure you are getting the best out of your equine partner's training program and will always be there to help with any questions or concerns. I am extremely pleased with what Morgan has done for myself and Dolly and can’t wait to see what more he has in store for her!
