(October 4, 2020, 3:54 pm)Awesome free place to camp. Didn’t try fishing as it sounds like it’s pretty hard to catch anything here. Fire pits at most of the sites. On the north side of the lake is where most of the large trailers and rvs park as the road is pretty easy. On the south side of the lake the road is a little bit more treacherous, but totally do able for a suv/car. Would not recommend taking a large trailer or rv on the south side.

(December 1, 2019, 1:21 pm)Great out of the way camping spot for free!!! Tons of fish and startlingly epic views of the prairies. Was not that busy even during a long weekend. So nice to be able to show up and camp without having to go on a government web site three months in advance to make a reservation. Be sure to bring your own firewood and supplies and then clean up after yourself. Enjoy!
