We booked a site for our camper. Overall the site was nice, the pond was good. Our boy really enjoyed himself. We thought there would be trails for our atv, but everything was super muddy. Definitely not a place you can go trail riding with the kids. Other then that it was great. Our son definitely wants to go again.
I came to Pinnacle Trails Resort looking for a place to do some off-road riding on the trails in my SxS and to scout it as a future place to come with my wife and kids. I rented one of their sites where they provide the holiday trailer for you and was very impressed. The trailer itself was in immaculate condition and would be the perfect size and layout for a family with three kids (or more if you use the pull-out couch). The kitchen was stocked with all of the cooking tools you might need and there is a BBQ and prep table (very convenient) outside for any grilling you plan to do. They have an elevated sitting area right behind the trailer that overlooks the lake which was very relaxing after riding. There aren't too many of the RV or cabin included rental sites, so it's probably best to book early unless you are bringing your own trailer.
Some of the amenities that I found the most useful were the ATV wash station (to get all that muskeg off), the laundromat (less cleanup when you get home) and firewood delivery to our site. I didn't use most of the many amenities while I was there only because it was such a short visit, but they also had a driving range into the lake (with limited hours), mini golf, kids playground, the spring fed lake/pond (which was surprisingly warm) and floating trampoline, clubhouse with movie theatre and game room and I'm sure others that I am forgetting. The staff were all very friendly and any other riders or campers we met were just as nice as well. This is also comforting in knowing that if I were to get into trouble on the trails that you could ask anyone you come across and they would be happy to help. I think the best part about this place is that it would be well suited to just about any family; those who want to go riding are surrounded by miles and miles of trails and those who don't will never get bored with all of the other amenities provided. At only 2 hours drive from Edmonton, it's somewhere you could go for a weekend and not spend half of it driving. I look forward to coming back next year with the rest of my family.
So good I almost don’t want to tell anyone about this place! It is a hidden oasis! Stayed here for a week and fell in love. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Great place for kids with so many activities; water trampoline, swimming (nice sandy beach), Sauna, kayaking, mini putt, driving range, volleyball, play ground, dog and ATV wash, showers and flushing toilets, movie theater, games room, a store, wood for sale and propane refill station. I’m sure I missed a few things, but so many things to do. Big sites with great views! Not far from Edson at all 10 min drive to town if needed. Great location not far from Edmonton or the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay and so happy we found this spot. This place is a 10/10 in our books!
What an awesome place to camp at!
The staff was beyond amazing throughout our entire stay. We came a day early and it was no problem they made it work. There was so much to do for both kids and adults, 4x4 trails all around us, a shallow kids beach and the other side teens and adults beach with a water trampoline. Their showers and laundry facilities were great. Mini golf, games room, sunna, and a town full of stores and amenities 11 minutes away. Highly recommend going here, our family will definitely be back.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pinnacle Trails Resort Campground and I can confidently say it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. This place is a true gem nestled in the heart of nature.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and open arms by the staff. Their friendliness was not just a one-time gesture but a constant throughout our stay. Their genuine care and dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction were truly remarkable.
The campground itself is beautifully maintained, with clean facilities and well-marked trails. The campsites are spacious and offer a good level of privacy.
What really sets Pinnacle Trails, though, is the sense of community it fosters. The staff and fellow campers alike were all so welcoming, making us feel like part of a big camping family. This sense of camaraderie, combined with the stunning natural environment, made our stay truly unforgettable.
Pinnacle Trails Resort is a wilderness retreat that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, top-notch facilities, and exceptional service.
