My first impression of Woofers is incredible. I called to inquire about setting up an appointment regarding potty training an adult dog that we just adopted and wow, I cant believe all the helpful information that was shared with me, without an appointment or charging a fee! Thank you so much! A fantastic and long lasting first impression! I definitely recommend Woofers to anyone looking for a dog training.
Lovely, understanding, and absolutely everything we needed in a trainer!!
Bren not only helped out my super anxious pup, she also helped us understand how to understand him. Bren has the amazing ability to explain not only the behaviours of our dog, but also how our behaviours as owners effect our pup. Bren was incredibly patient with all our questions and never made us feel bad if we didn’t quite grasp a training technique. Our pup had a lot of triggers that we were not aware of, and Bren was not only able to help us identify them, she really took the time to make sure we understood what our pup needed and how we can reduce those triggers without any sort of negative punishment. She’s not only so caring towards the dogs, she was caring towards us as well. I would recommend Bren over and over and over again to anyone who feels stuck and at a dead end with their training. We only had 3 sessions with her, but through using the anti-stress techniques she showed us, we can now take our pup out and around a dog filled neighbour hood with no more than a rare growl. She’s not only committed to reducing stress in dogs, but also in their owners. I only wish we had more sessions with her because she was such good company as well!
Bren was lovely - she was thorough, listened carefully, and gave us great advice and insights about some of the behavioural issues we've been having with our puppy being reactive around other dogs. We've started implementing some of her suggestions and are already starting to see some improvements, and feel so much less overwhelmed now. Highly recommend her!
I reached out to Woofers when my dog Monte developed a severe fear to the car following a traumatic vet experience. He was avoiding me and completely terrified to leave the house. I sent a message to Woofers and was able to book a phone consultation immediately. Booking was very easy and communications were prompt. I spoke with Bren for about an hour and she provided me with great resources on positive training and re-introduction steps and timeframes to take with him. She even followed up after our call with additional ideas and things I could try, and made sure to answer all the questions I had despite being well over our allotted time slot. Since implementing her advice and steps Monte is doing much better and we are on our way towards getting him back into the car.
I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is knowledgeable and professional, and I can tell she is genuine in her desire to help me and my dog Monte first and foremost.
When a 2 year old Newfoundland dog was rehomed to me 2 years ago, I didn't realize what I was about to get into. He was a nice, friendly boy with both my husband and me, but when coming across people he didn't know, we would bark aggressively and try to lunge at them.
Bren spent time with me, giving me advice on how I could help my new dog. She explained fear aggression, and things I should do to help my dog get more comfortable so that he wouldn't be afraid and lash out at people.
It took some time, but following Bren's advice, my dog gradually gained the confidence he needed to become the sweet boy he is today.
I highly recommend Bren and Woofers Dog Training.
