Great view. A special place!
Be prepared for a strenuous hike up the trail to the summit. There are places were you need to use the ropes provided. It is rewarding to reach the summit but the summit itself is not a place natural beauty because of the communication towers.
This hike is a bit more difficult. Under the Yosemite Decimal system it is a 3. Under the Sierra clubs caloric Value it is a B Hike. (B3 hike) But so worth the views. If you are coming from the Humpback Reservoir side. Keep a lookout on your right. The second Sign in that says something about no public access, this is the trailhead to the top of the mountain. The views of the strait are unparalleled in the Area, and you can see right over Mt. Wells. Great hike all around.
