Craidelonna Oceanedge Lodging

With the wind guiding us, we decided to stop at Craidelonna last minute on a weekend getaway up island.
Not only are the grounds bountiful with fruit and stunning plants, the accommodations are abundant and private. Extremely well maintained and clean. Gorgeous sauna and hot tub.
The views are second to none, with a full sweeping vista from every vantage.
But most special of all is the blessed host and caretaker Ritchard. Extremely caring and kind, hospitable to an amazing degree. A beautiful human.
A weekend I won't forget anytime soon.

Incredible experience. Stumbled across this wonderful establishment on my way up
Island. After being invited down to the amazing property and shown around by Richard we just had to stay. The views are incredible, amazing beach access, spent the evening relaxing in the wood stove sauna. The whole place was immaculately clean and Richard took care of our every need. You are an incredible host Richard! I hope our paths cross again soon. I’m looking very much forward to my next visit.

For 1, the host Ritchard, is amazing. He is so warm and welcoming and obviously in LOVE with this place and his work here.
For 2, the place is absolutely stunning - from it magical entrance - way that beckons you forward along the winding path that has cascading greenery along it, to the layered decks and shared common space that is literally all you can imagine and more - to the ROOM. Which has this amazing King Bed that was built from trees on the property, a view of the Ocean (from the cliff, simply amazing), really cool bathroom, and of course HOT TUB, out door showers (we are on the west coast!) and a wood burning Sauna.

We spent four days there last year and loved it so much we came back for a week this year!

The cottage at Craidelonna is a peaceful, rustic, and very relaxing place to stay. Now that I’m home I really miss my hot tub *sniff*

Ritchard is a lovely host, very knowledgeable and respectful - and made our dogs feel very welcome with a giant comfy dog bed. I bought one similar upon returning home.

And the plum tree!! Glorious.
