Simply an amazing place.
Love it here. Beautiful location and convenient for hikes and close to Sooke and some excellent restaurants. Rick and Karen are wonderful hosts.
We loved staying here for our honeymoon. This was our second visit to Ocean Wilderness Inn and both visits were so great. The continental breakfast was great! We loved the fresh croissants! The room is clean and the bed was so comfortable. We find this bnb ro be the perfect place to relax and get away from all of life stresses and reconnect as a couple. Thanks for making our stay so great!!
Beautiful B&B with hotel like facilities... Loved the outdoor hot tub in a gazebo overlooking the ocean... The private access to the beach is a steep walk down and is definitely not for those who have any difficulty walking... However, if you can make it down, it is worth every bit of effort... Amazingly gorgeous!!! We built a bonfire there the night we stayed and cooked our dinner on it as well as some great smores. The pictures of this place just do not do it justice... The rooms are beautiful and fully equipped and the grounds are even more so. I just had one thing that irked me a bit. When booking a bed and breakfast, you expect a little bit more warmth and welcoming from your hosts, which I just didn't feel upon coming here. As much as we tried to connect with the owner, he seemed really guarded and cold and we didn't feel very welcomed by him. Of course this could have just been our perception or just a one off situation but we kind of felt that it was because we were East Indian... I didn't take it to be anything racist but more as a racial bias as though he had had some bad experiences with East Indians before.... Also, keep in mind, if you are coming to this area for a fishing trip, this isn't the place to book, as they do not have a freezer for guests to store their catch.
This lodge was more than wonderful, the couple who runs the place were great. Rick was awesome, on our second night he asked if we needed anything and made us feel more than welcome. Would stay here again 100%. Quiet and peaceful, a great getaway even for someone who lives in the city!!
