This charming place has Cedar boughs decorating for XMas. The meatloaf sandwich was tasty. Covid wise, they've put out quite a bit of outside seating, and spread out their tables. They have marked where to stand clearly on the floor. The plexiglass shield is up.
However, at lunch, do not expect speed, they got a bit backlogged.

All I can say is WOW. During this COVID season, ordering a wedding cake was super stressful, but Ruth & Dean made me 5 separate cakes and they were stunning. They put so much effort into making each cakes icing texture different and embellished. The cake was delicious-I had the salted caramel vanilla and it was the best cake I’ve ever had. Every day since my wedding I have been dreaming of their cake!! I HIGHLY recommend trying it!!

LOVE Ruth & Dean! I received a custom birthday cake from R&D and it was amazing - it was moist, not too sweet and of course, beautiful. Also a great spot for brunch or a mid-day coffee and dessert. You can't go wrong!

One of my favourite spots in Victoria for breakfast, lunch, or coffee and a tasty treat. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and rice crispy square, you won't be disappointed!

Always love visiting Ruth & Dean for coffee, baked goods, and their delicious breakfast sandwich. It's a nice space, too, with friendly staff and good service. I've never been disappointed--except when they ran out of cinnamon buns before I got there!
