I called qtel for extended warranty work that needed to be done thru bestbuy.. they are booking 2 weeks out. After having a good talk with the manager, they had told me since best buy stopped all work in march due to covid, they now had 90 best buy customers waiting. 90!!! And thats just one of their contracts. I can only imagine the work load the employees have right now..

after saying that, the manager asked me about the issues i was having, she ordered parts and within a week and a half i had a tech out to my house with gloves , masks all ppe you can think of. Fixed it in one shot.. so impressed and will recommend them for sure.

So grateful for a reliable honest repair company, even with just reopening the shop and trying to keep everyone happy.

I brought my tv to them and due to covid they were working out of their house. The owners went above and beyond, explained everything.

The wonderful ladies were helpful and i highly recommend Qtel. I see some below reviews that don't take into the fact the shop just opened again and everyone is trying to learn new ways of doing business. I will always be bringing my repairs to them.

I think some appreciation and patience can go a long way.

I walked into Q-Tel Services LTD the other day in hopes to find a solution for the damaged USB port in my TV, after a short conversation with the lady at the desk, I was lead to believe that replacing only the USB Port would not be possible, and that I would need to replace the entire circuit board (very expensive) and, there was a $45 upfront charge before they even took a look at my TV.

I took my TV to Merit Electronics here in Victoria, and he was able to replace the USB port on my TV, $10 and about 12 hours later my TV was as good as new. I didn’t really appreciate getting told my only option was to replace an entire circuit board because of one small part, you don’t get a new car just because your windshield is cracked, why do the same with your TV?

I did appreciate the kindness from the lady at the front desk. She still gave me advice on contacting the manufacturer to see if I could still be covered by the 1 year warranty, even after I made it pretty clear I wasn’t interested in doing business with them. Unfortunately, the one year warranty didn’t cover my damaged USB port problem, so that’s why I asked for a second opinion at Merit Electronics on Bay St.

I thought I had killed" my CD player in my stereo system and Q-Tel went over and above what I expected. hey saved me a vast amount of money and I am happy that I don't have to purchase a new stereo.
