This review will also act as a blog as we proceed from house selection, design and then construction taking into account that the house builder is a difference organization.

Also I have edited the original review upon reflection and discussion with Brad whom this review is targeted, rather than Linwood Homes out of Delta BC, whom I will also review later.

So far pretty good. Brad was able to accommodate our difficult lot and redraft the home accordingly. We went through a long process of obtaining permits, and again Brad accommodated that, however there was a bit of pressure to complete as the house price does increase if not delivered in time - be careful and vigilant as one should.

Pricing - I thought the pricing was excellent and incentives helped a lot. Great job!

5 stars. Brad himself is very accommodating. I will likely rank Linwood Homes itself as 4 stars, but please read that review for reasons why.

Building a house is something you probably will only do once in your life. Therefore there are a lot of aspects to consider and the learning curve is steep. From terminology to contracting its easy to overlook critical aspects that are difficult to undo and cause headaches. Local conditions matter such as creeks, sewage, water, setbacks and easements. If you are building on a Gulf Island ensure that these are understand way ahead of time.

* Important to ask about how payment works. I had a builders mortgage and it did complicate this issue. In the end Brad helped us to make arrangements so, kudos, but you will have to ensure good cash flow.
