Lots of delicious choices. A tasting flight of 5. Cool little picnic section outside amongst the trees. Bring your own snacks.

A little nook of an ale room up some rickety staircase that makes it feel old and orthentic. Really pretty building. Not fit for those with poor mobility.
Other than that: Very friendly staff (English bar maid knew her biscuits when it came to beer.)

Very friendly staff and knowledgeable too. The place is not very good so good for smaller group. You can get a taste of 5 different kinds of beer for only $8. Very good deal. A must go destination

With the limited amount of things to do on the island i consider a visit to Island Ales a must! We loved the beers and atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly. Long picnic tables encourage groups to mingle, made friends from another country while tasting the beers.

Had so much fun at Salt Spring Island Ales last night! Everyone is super friendly and outgoing. Got a free hops plant as well! The golden ale, Heather already, and British IPA are insanely good and I have tried a lot of beer! Great seating area, although it would be nice if they expanded it a little.
