We had a lovely time at Steps to the Sea. We brought our kayaks - access to the launch site was just down the road. We enjoyed several paddles that were stunning. The cottage is in a very quiet area and we had several visits from the deer living in the woods close by. Dana is great - all of the arrangements were made without any difficulty. The cottage suits a family or two couples. In our case, it was perfect for a getaway for the two of us.
From the photos on the Steps to the Sea website, the cottage looked great. But when we first walked through the doors and saw the immaculate and charming decor, not to mention the absolutely stunning view of nature all around, we were blown away. From the minute my wife contacted Steps to the Sea, everything went smoothly and we felt like we could contact Dana about anything at any time. We actually ended up staying two extra nights. We are already planning our next trip. Obviously, we highly recommend this amazing Salt Spring Island getaway!
My family and I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at this beautiful cottage. The cottage itself is wonderful and exquisitely designed with large windows and a huge deck to enjoy the the trees that surround it. The cottage had everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable. This was our first visit to Salt Spring Island and we loved it - so much natural beauty, great hiking trails and many local artisans (food, art, wineries, craft beer and cider) throughout the island. Will definitely be coming again in the summer.
Highly recommended for families and couples who are looking for a break from a busy life in the city.
We stayed here in August 2018 and had an amazing time in the peaceful, secluded cottage. The setting is beautiful with mature trees and vegetation all around, it's located at a short walk down to a quiet bay which makes for a nice picnic spot. The house has basic amenities to make for a comfortable stay. Salt Spring Island has tons of studios, farms and quaint little shops to keep you amused when not relaxing at the cottage. Would definitely recommend a stay here!!
