We are so grateful to you for helping us with injured birds and animals. Thank you for answering your phone to guide us on what to do. Our donation is on the way.

Twice now I have found injured birds and the Wildlife Centre has been incredibly responsive. Today they arranged transport of a little thrush from Duncan to MARS Wildlife Rescue. Such wonderful organizations, both.❤️

We have had an excellant experience with wildlife nature center. When we called they were very welcoming promptly meeting us at the crofton ferry tetminal and within an hour had taken in an injured turkey vulture that had been struck by a car a few days earlier before being found. There was no fairytale ending for the poor bird but he recieved compassionate care to the fullest extent possible in a more than caring, courteous, prompt manner. We are very thankful to wildlife nature care.

Upon finding an injured or cold(from the freezing temps we just dealt with) hummingbird. We did what Google suggested at first which was to bring it inside to warm up and offered it nectar(sugar water). It eventually flew away back to the trees, chirpping. We found it again, on the ground beneath the feeder so again we brought it in and repeated the process. We did further research and immediately called them at the Wildlife Rescue Center. Someone met me in town to pick the little guy up and help him. If you find a hummer, immediately call them to make arrangements. They need attention within the first 4-24 hours. Thank you for the education and even more so by helping nature's remarkable creatures.

I don't have enough words to extoll the virtues of this group. It has been my pleasure to watch them on several occasions. The time they willingly spend to carefully assess the situation first to ensure a rescue is required, second to achieve the rescue and finally the time it takes for the followup care. Amazing...
