17 Mile House Pub

Stopped in here for a feed after a nice trip with friends. Pints were on point and the Irish coffees were excellent. Note: The Irish coffee was crafted to perfection, and not ruined by using whipped cream. Really appreciate the authentic touch and passion this place brings to Irish pubs abroad. Yours sincerely, a satisfied Irish man.

I always make this place a stop when I am driving by. The atmosphere is old soul welcoming. The staff is always friendly. I come with my kids usually because of the outside space in good weather and the prompt service in poor weather. Highly recommend.

My favourite of all the “mile houses” has the best environment, and pre covid times you could play volleyball or horseshoes in the back outdoor seating area! Great menu selections, and the food tastes as good as it sounds! Always a favourite stop when I’m in the South Island area!!

You need to stop here! If you are a tourist and just exploring the beautiful beaches along the islands coast this pub is the place to end your day!

Absolutely lovely environment, dog friendly area near the patio, perfect spot amongst the trees and the adjacent highway is not very loud or busy.

The drinks are awesome and they serve a great offering of local brews. Since being on the island, we just had to order seafood and we were not disappointed. The salmon burger and fish and chips are crazy good and perfect for those looking for a great island experience. We also got gravy with our fries which was tasty, light, and not too greasy.

Delicious good quality food at the right portion sizes. Nice atmosphere and patio. Great place to go after a hike in Sooke. While you're out there the nearby Shell gas station has a store attached that sells local food from the farm and local seafood at some good prices.
