The lagoon to walk is the longest in the area. Sea lions sometimes park themselves on the docks nearby.
There is so much more to Whiffin Spit than meets the one time visit.
Sooke itself is a sensory delight. Precious.

(March 28, 2019, 12:17 am)Best place to view Spoke if you can't afford a helicopter ride. 2 km walk on this Breakwater. Very pleasant. Historical too.
Hope you continue on to Jordan River to watch surfers ride the breakers.

(March 10, 2019, 4:37 pm)Great spot for a walk. Ultra dog friendly. Parking lot fills up quickly, but endless street parking. On the rare occasion it gets waves the surfing is really good.
