(December 14, 2018, 8:21 pm)This is a great little community church. Services on Sundays at 10 AM are well attended. The music and gospel songs are excellent and easy to sing along to. Pastor Rick is an approachable man. Oftentimes during his teachings he jumps about from biblical point to point. He also gets a little excited and sometimes this causes him to catch his breath a little and his volume fades a little.
After the service there is a coffee station with lovely home made cookies. People mingle and chat. The congregation comprises a healthy mix of generations.
The teachings are not all about Sin and Hellfire, but rather focussing a lot on the Sin of Pride.

(September 7, 2016, 8:26 pm)Sooke Baptist Church is now my church of choice. I encourage you to drop in for a Sunday service (10AM) and enjoy the worship music and hear one of Pastor Rick's spirit filled sermons. The coffee is excellent and the treats after the service are outstanding. We have great programming in our Sunday school for kids. If you are new to Sooke and pew shopping, then try us out. If you are questioning or beginning your faith journey then you will be welcome here.
