Not sure what I was going to find in mid January. I was pleasantly surprised that sandwiches were quite good. I had balsamic chicken sandwich and ginger tea. Ginger tea is quite strong, so have it with food. A great location and atmosphere.
Chilled spot with amazing coffee, lots of vegan options and a great space to work inside or outside on a sunny day.
Lovely staff! Enjoy!
Really great atmosphere. Cute decor, central location. My husband and I both had the breakfast sandwich add bacon and avocado and it was so fresh a flavourful. We each had a hot drink, I had a latte and he had an americano. We sat outside because we had dogs but there was well lit indoor sitting and Free wifi. Enjoy. Only thing that sucked was they were open on the Wednesday we were there, but go have it on the Thursday!
Lovely bright, open space. Really delicious smoked salmon and herb cheese open sandwich on sourdough, and super smooth cold brew, and then there's Cold Comfort Ice Cream sandwiches for desert! Enjoyed lounging on the sofa while waiting for my order, diggin' the tunes & quintessentially Galiano Vibe - ????
This new cafe is almost literally a stone’s throw away from the ferry terminal. In fact, you can park your car in the ferry line and walk over. The inside is spacious and the decor rustic and laidback. It just opened though, so there’s no sign yet from the road. You can find it just across from Babes in the Woods.
We grabbed some Italian meat sandwiches, veggies wraps, and a cool latte before our ferry ride. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, and our latte came with a paper straw and coffee cubes instead of ice cubes. Smart AND sustainable, anyone? They also had a selection of amazing artisan ice cream sandwiches. We only tried the citrus and coriander, but it was bomb. (Check out those ingredients!) Also, not sure what kind of sorcery is used to make them, but the ice cream stays cold and solid for-EVER. Bonus points if you don’t like sticky fingers or extra mess.
We weren’t able to try some of the other food, because their kitchen closed at 3pm, but will do so next time we’re on the island. If nothing else, to sample more of the ice cream sandwiches. :)
