Japanese Gardens

Beautiful place to go year round but especially in the fall and around Christmas when they have holiday lights set up. Anyone who visits Mayne Island or should visit simply to spend a day at the park and gardens.

Nice little Japanese gardens built by locals. I was lucky enough to meet this gentleman who designed this garden. Quite and beautiful place to hang out!

Beautiful place, well cared for.There is no charge for admission, although there is a donation box. There are a number of paths to stroll and some beautiful woodwork, like the traditional arch at the entrance.
Definitely worth a stop if you're on the island.

Beautifully designed and managed Japanese-style garden. If you are visiting Mayne Island, you need to drop in to wander the garden. Admission is free, but they accept donations. There is a small lake, forested area, and many unusual plants. It’s worth visiting in any season, but their Christmas light show is particularly lovely.
