I just got my circa 1980s Denon integrated stereo receiver serviced at Q-E and I'm very pleased with the service and results. My mostly dead right channel is fully restored and sounds great. The service time took two days - well within the estimate. The staff was friendly and entertained my questions regarding the repair as well as those about an interesting tube amp they had on display. Regarding the $25 deposit - this essentially covers their time for diagnosis. I find this totally reasonable - other repair shops (e.g. Innovative Audio) do the same. My one criticism is that my initial email went unanswered - you're better off to contact them directly. I just walked in off the street and arranged for the repair.
