“The carrot cake is dry with extremely sweet frosting even though they say it’s cream cheese frosting. The cheese buns barely have any cheese on them at all but they are nice buns, just don’t expect more than a tiny sprinkle of cheese on them and I asked for their cheesiest ones. 🤨 They do have nice pastry and the feta spinach thing I tried was nice and flakey, though wasn’t as full as it could have been. It’s a decent gluten free bakery but if anything it’s inspired me to do more of my own baking than to go back regularly.”

“A local favourite. It is pretty hard to beat Little June in cute factor. It is situated in a nice corner unit in the heart of Fernwood and the space is well put together. The coffee is usually great (there have been a few days when the milk stretching was a little lacking), and the food is pretty good. If you are looking for a cute spot in town to wander through check out Fernwood and stop in for a coffee”

“This home store is cosy, inviting, and exceptionally well curated. They have beautiful linens and furniture in addition to all sorts of home goods and gifts that you can’t find anywhere else in Victoria. I bought a luxurious linen duvet cover last year that is one of my favourite things that I own—I feel like a queen when I use that duvet! I always love popping by Pigeonhole to see what’s new. Each season they bring in new items from around the world. During the holiday season, they always host a holiday party for customers which is such fun event and a nice touch. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is a small, family run business that is a joy to visit and support.”

But freshly made Ice cream in a home made cookie is too good to pass up. This is one of Victoria's hidden treasures. Staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Price is very fair for such a high quality product. I do want to try that cherry ice cream sans rosemary though:p”
