What a neighbourhood gem! Our middle daughter attended a few years ago and loved it. Our youngest attends now and is enthusiastic about going and always sports a beaming smile at pick up. Her teachers Meghan and Bridgette are kind, compassionate and provide solid guidance for the kids. The parents really contribute to the sense of community and the playground time at Hollywood Park across the street is icing on top. Good luck getting a spot.
Our daughter goes to this preschool and she loves it. This is her first year in preschool and her first year being in a group care setting. They made the transition go so smooth and I feel so grateful knowing she is somewhere she loves and that is in amazing hands.
Ross Bay Preschool has a warm and welcoming atmosphere with many natural material toys and a great set up for when the kids are engaging in free play. They also get lots of outside time at the park across the street.
I had decided to send our daughter to Ross Bay after seeing how great they were with the kids when I would see them at the park as our daughter was growing up. They were also recommended to me by a handful of families.
The owner, Kim, and the other teachers, Bridgette, Megan and Jen are amazing. Our daughter is sensitive to who she feels comfortable with and the type of environment she is in and she feels comfortable, safe and happy in their care.
We look forward to the rest of the year and we are signed up again for next year.
When I first entered Ross Bay Preschool I knew right away that this was the place for my son. It is evident that a great deal of time and energy was put into creating spaces for group activities, intimate areas for imaginative play, quiet space and creative space. The design is clearly based on an understanding of how children think and play as well as the reality that all children are different. If the space doesn't convince you the caregivers surely will. From their philosophy of conflict resolution to their eyes wide open approach to understanding each child, I know my son is seen as a unique individual and I enjoy updates on his behavior and socialization progress each day. This is such an important choice as a parent and I have never had more confidence when making this one.
I highly recommend Ross Bay Preschool. Kim, Bridgette, Meghan, and Jen are wonderful teachers. I have been very pleased with their skilled and laid back approach to dealing with toddler behaviours and challenges (potty training, separation anxiety, sharing, and kindness to name a few). I especially appreciated the good communication and recaps of the day at pickup when my child was first settling into the routine. The space is always spotless and the toys and stations are always changing which keeps things new and exciting for the kids. If you are looking for a Preschool that encourages free-play, unstructured learning and creativity, then this is the one!
Ross Bay Preschool is a fun, loving, educational place to send your child and I can’t recommend the preschool enough. The owner Kim keeps a very clean, organized school and she’s always available to answer any questions you may have. Our daughter loves her teachers Bridgette and Meghan and I can’t say enough good things about them.
I really did my homework when choosing a preschool and Ross Bay has proven to be everything I was looking for and more.
