Bao Shoemaker

10/10 highly recommend. Bao is an AMAZING shoemaker. As soon as you walk into the shop, you realize what a kind person he is. He truly cares about his customers and goes above and beyond for them. He is busy and for good reason. The quality of his shoes and boots is unbeatable, he makes absolutely gorgeous, functional, and comfortable shoes for a very good price. The value is amazing, he uses high quality products and its clear that he is an expert at his trade. I needed a pair of work boots with specific soles and specific leather type, and he said it was no problem. He let me customize every step of the way, and build my dream work boots. He measured me feet and made them completely custom to my foot shape, and they are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn and I haven't even broke them in yet. They are so much better than I could have ever imagined handmade boots to be, and I am sure they will last decades. His years at Viberg really shined through with these boots. If you value your feet, do yourself a favor and see Bao, you won't regret it. THANK YOU BAO!!!

By far the best and most experienced shoe maker / cobbler in Victoria— and I’ve been to them all. His work is first rate. Ladies how many times do your summer sandals look ragged because the light coloured footbed had your toe prints?! Bao has extended the life of my fave sandals by replacing the footbed ????.

I am absolutely amazed by what Bao was able to do. He resurrected a favourite pair of boots for me. These boots were worn, literally, into the ground. They were so far gone, that I was growing plants out of them! One day, I had the brainwave that if anyone could fix them, it would be Bao. Sure enough, he did. Pics to follow. Nothing short of incredible and his prices are so "fair" that they feel unfair to him. I cannot recommend his work enough.

I was so impressed with the magic that was performed on my torn leather jacket. Bao repaired the huge rip so well that it is very hard to see where the damage was even caused originally. Thank you for saving my beloved leather jacket and for the amazing and friendly service. The prices were great too! I highly recommend Bao Shoemaker!

Bao is like Gepetto. He is really fatherly and he loves shoes and shoe making. His bespoke shoes are a great fit and you can have it designed anyway you want. His repairs are meticulous and priced fair in my opinion. I've had a pair made and am waiting for my next one as he has many orders. I've also had modifications and improvements made on other shoes and I'm pleased with them. You know why? If it's not to my satisfaction, he would happily re-do them not that's happened frequently. If you don't fit factory made shoes, this is the place to go. Just chatting with him about my shoes makes me happy.
