(February 19, 2019, 4:13 am)Spent just over an hour hiking around the grounds today. It really is a magical place, huge trees, waterfalls, beautiful gardens, a castle.
It is a fairytale place. We hiked along the water and over to the new development on the south east side. The trails are well maintained and you can choose your adventure, if you want steep and slopey or flat and meandering.
Great place for the dog to get out too. There was way more there to explore, it is a large property on the edge of Esquimalt Lagoon. It has some old growth forest that has been preserved it is kind a hidden gem really.
Some of the new building are near to look at too.

Integrating a progressive, systems approach to this field of study has had a profound effect on my life and the work that I continue to do. I am so grateful for this extraordinary program, and the stunningly beautiful campus.

(April 27, 2018, 5:35 am)Heritage site in traditional Lekwungen territory. Hatley Castle=Xavier School For the Gifted (aka Xman castle). Deer and peacocks as traffic cops->they ARE in charge. Also a great school.
