Spanning an area of 35,000 sq feet, Vic West Skatepark is one of the biggest in British Columbia. It includes a variety of street obstacle including rails of different sizes, stairs etc. A great place to unwind and refine those skating skills.
2022
I came to Victoria for the first time to skate the new Topaz park, but this one was really great also.
It's pretty epic to begin with and then all the newer stuff at the back was of primo\modern 👌 design.
Downside is all the metal edges on the ledges are of an older generations design style where they're unidealy sticking up above the concrete surface a little bit.
One of the best skateparks I have ever been to. The community is often kind, with people giving help with tricks, and helping new riders. The bowl section of the park is very nice for beginners all the way to advanced, with your creativity being the limit! The main ‘island’ part of the park is nice for beginners who want to ride around, the ‘teacup’ is a amazing place for people doing intermediate tricks, and this park is overall great, with something for everybody! I am going
It's a public space, so all walks of life go through. Most a super decent and supportive. Good weather = busy.
This skate park is simply awesome. I don’t skate as I am old and would probably break a hip or something 😂 but my son loved it. Lots of easy stuff for beginners like him with more advanced stuff for the more seasoned rider.
We went twice. Once on a Friday afternoon. It was far too busy for him to really get into it. We went back on Sunday morning after breakfast and it was much quieter. He was able to get in a great ride then.
All the kids (and adults) we encountered there seemed very courteous of my 8 year old beginner which was great.
