I had a problem with my wood stove and chimney. It was wearing out I figured. I called a place who sent me a guy who wanted to replace my wood stove and chimney to the tune of $8000.00. I was not able to afford this. My stove could not be that bad, it was only 6 years old. I was really at a loss. So I called North Island Inspections for a second opinion. This nice guy showed up, his name is Dan. Upon inspection of the stove he pointed out to me that there was a rebuild kit. It was $180.00 and a stainless flue liner was available to upgrade the chimney. Dan took on the whole process and gave me a clean WETT inspection for my insurance saving me thousands of dollars compared to the “other guy” Thank-you Dan from North Island Inspections.

Dan was one of the best contractors/inspectors I have ever had the pleasure to work with. His knowledge of the safety measures and parameters of structure saved me thousands of dollars over what one "well known" Campbell River Wett inspection company quoted me. I read one negative comment here and I strongly believe it was trolled by a jealous competitor. If you want a knowledgeable, professional, and fair person doing your Wett Inspection and/or other woodtstove related work you cannot get a better guy than Dan at North Island Inspections.

I am very happy with the service and work from Dan. I was initially very intimidated of the thought of doing a wood stove replacement and any chimney work but he helped put me at ease through the process. He took me through it all step by step; and even when some hurdles were encountered in finding the right parts for my situation, he helped me work through the solutions and achieve the wood stove upgrade I wanted. He was attentive and responsive to any questions or concerns. He knew what was needed and explained it clearly. I thoroughly recommend him.
