Simply Transformed

Yvone was an amazing dynamo as we organized my garage from stem to stern in order for me to actually park my van inside this winter. She was on time and extremely prepared, knows her stuff, pleasant to work with. Big Thankyou!

I have retained the professional organization services of Yvone who owns "Simply Transformed" to support me with the decluttering of a thirty-year home following the passing of my husband. It was emotional, more than I ever expected. Yvone has the ability to listen through my silences or my sighs knowing that grief and memory are present and accompanying me on this journey.

I became aware that emotion, thinking, and letting go of belongings trigger important memories. I cared for my husband during his illness. Many of us at a certain age care for our partners. We care for them, we grieve their passing and then our loss, and then we begin the step (or not) of decluttering the home. Letting go of things and memories and perhaps learning how to move forward ourselves.

I thought decluttering and the resulting letting go was straight forward. As with all that had gone before, I discovered it wasn't. I was surprised at the depth of my feelings in letting go of certain things - the simplest things - a black travel mug and a red travel mug that we had paid $2.00 for brought about a look that went across my face with a sigh and Yvone picked an important location. No words were exchanged. The mugs were displayed center stage until a year later when I could let them go. This was the power and strength of Yvone. She could hear a quiet sigh or a look at something that took too long and she knew that memory was present. She respected the silences, the tears, and the story, short or long, that spilled over along with the task. She was my strength when I wasn't strong.

In addition to all the different methods used by Yvone, she quietly and efficiently trained me to understand order which helped me. I now leave everything in its place and I can find 99% of what I am looking for.

Yvone knows how to maximize what is sent to organizations that can make good use of them through resale or recycling. As we worked in an orderly manner, I learned to ask questions. What do you do about this or that? Yvone remembers issues I am dealing with and often returns with research and good suggestions.

In my opinion, Yvone is a rarity in this world. She gives more than her promise. She respects the smallest memory and I am better for knowing her, trusting her and using her services.

Yvonne motivated and helped me with the painful task of clearing out my husbands office.when he went into a care facility. She helped me sort papers dating back to the 1980’s, pack up and dispose of 22 boxes of books, get rid of an accumulation of obsolete electronics and transform the room into a usable space.
With Yvonnes cheerful and sympathetic support and her amazing efficiency a seemingly hopeless task was done in no time. Her resources and knowledge for disposing of stuff is invaluable!
