Plum Midwifery

I had a wonderful experience with Plum from start to finish. With my first born I was in the care of my medical doctor and had a scary experience with PPH after birth. The midwives at Plum took my concerns and anxiety about birth very seriously and communicated clearly to me their plan, as well as consulted an OBGYN. Sabrina delivered my second daughter in July 2023 and my birth experience this time went smoothly. I felt supported and heard every step of the way! Side note: Sabrina inserted my IUD postpartum and I barely felt a thing! I have had two IUDs previously that were painful and very tricky to insert; I had to be referred to an OBGYN to insert one in the past.

Throughout the whole experience, right up to birthing day and beyond they did and said everything right to make us feel supported and taken care of. I went with my wife to every appointment and I was looked in the eye and I felt like I was important and part of. I couldn’t imagine not contacting them again for our next babies or baby, yes we had twins!

Plum has helped me through two miscarriages, and one full term healthy pregnancy. So kind and respectful every step of the way. Walking into their Cumberland office feels so warm welcoming and safe. I’m so grateful to have worked with Plum.
