I’ve bought and tried different kinds of knife sharpeners and not good results from any. Met Shane at the farmers market so I took my knives to him and VOILA! Excellent sharp knifes that are great to use. I highly recommend SliceKing

Dropped off my knives...a motley collection picked up over years. A day or so later got a message that they were done.

I like to think of myself as a good weekend cook, but I’ll be the first to admit I would let my knives go and often worked with blunted instruments.

Last Christmas, I got this great set of kitchen knives that I really love. But after 9 months, I was noticing they weren't cutting and slicing as well as before. I heard about Slice King sharpening from a friend, and I called them up. Turns out it's a business by a local guy here in the Comox Valley who has been sharpening knives and other things for many many years.

His prices seemed really fair, so I arranged meet him and drop off 2 knives out of the set. In 2 days I got them back. WOW... they were better than new... a really amazing difference.

So I got the rest of the set done. Even better, Shane (the owner) taught my wife and myself how to hone the knives after a little use, to keep the blades really sharp. That was helpful, I didn't even know anything about keeping knives sharp, or how big a difference getting a knife sharpened could make.

I highly recommend Shane and SliceKing Sharpening to anybody who has a nice knife (or a whole set) and wants them back in better than new condition.
