(July 30, 2017, 10:11 pm)We were in Courtenay for a wedding and decided to make a vacation out of it. Stone Tree Cottage was the perfect oasis. The immaculate cottage itself was ideal with all the amenities we needed to eat in and relax when we felt like it. The porch was perfect for sitting out with a glass of wine, and the view was incredible. Mini botanical garden does not do this place justice. This is an Eden with beautifully maintained gardens and pathways with several different vignettes: water features, bridges, the "stone tree cottage", bonsai, a small glass house, and an amazing array of flora that has been designed with an artist's touch, combining color and texture so that you are continually seeing something new. And all this right outside your door to enjoy whenever you want. Courtenay itself was great - very laid back pace with lots of great eateries and things to do in the area if you enjoy the outdoors. Can't wait to go back!
