Super fun, staff is friendly, clean establishment. First time going for a drop in with friends, and I really enjoyed the different levels of climbs and the gym upstairs. Will definitely be returning. Parking lot is kinda small but side parking is available.
Solid rock climbing and bouldering gym. Staff all seem friendly and enthusiastic to help. Prices are somewhat fair. Variety of wall challenges are decent. There's also an area on the second floor for working out with equipment, stretching, and practicing climbing.
Visiting after a year and disappointed nothing has been improved for parking. Maybe move the bike rack out of the one spot... expand the lot out front (costly, I know)... or inform people, via a sign or poster on the front door, that the spots just behind in the walmart bin area are recommended. It sucks when the place gets busy with families, friend groups and everyone in the comox valley rebelling against a rainy day. It's also annoying hearing that people think they can park anywhere; robbing the electrical company next door of their spots, or blocking the Walmart trucks of their space. Can the owners of WIP step up and apply a solution? Were they only ever expecting nine people to show up at a time, and everyone else to just bike there? The occupancy counter being up to 60 people is way too high a number. The place is pretty full when it's around half that.
Fab little joint with a nice variety of routes, comfy couches, friendly folks, and even an espresso machine. A little gym upstairs as well. Great for getting back into bouldering
It is a really wonderful gym with great problems and lots of routes in ranging difficulties, the clientele are as a whole very nice and kind and always willing to lend advice as to whatever problem you're currently tackling. Staff are very good and swift with any service they provide. Good coffee too. The gym aspect is clean and simple, good free weights and mats for floor work. With rings too for those of you with the skill. All in all my favorite place in the valley.
LOVE the gym! Amazing staff, awesome routes, 100% recommend.
Does get quite busy on the weekend but other than that 11/10!
