Wolf Manufacturing Inc.

After watching my friend in his 12’ “Wolf” run about our marina and Harbour for a few months and remembering my Dad’s aluminum Springbok that he purchased in 1964 and I sold for him in 2005, I decided I wanted a Wolf. I had purchased a 44’ yacht and wanted a skiff I could go anywhere in and drag up on any shore. I’d previously had an 8’ inflatable and experienced an entire trip ruined with a leak up by the oarlock, plus their 10 yearish lifespan, I’d rather invest in an aluminum skiff I’d have for many years!

So in May 2018 I called “Wolf Boats” and he said he was able to build mine by June and I was ever so grateful. Last year 2020 life had changed a bit and I now had a partner, a lab and a cat. The lab (Maggie May) loves going in the skiff but we needed to have the bow seat enlarged and a lip welded at the back of it for Maggie to launch from. Well we took our “Wolfe” to a Al Green in Duncan. At first Al was hesitant but once he saw it was a Wolf his comment was, “I can make something work for you”. Afterward he told my partner that most/many aluminum skiffs nowadays are 3 ml. but the Wolf’s are 7 ml. These are nice boats he said.

I can’t tell you how pleased I am with my skiff! She is very sea worthy and durable with lots of room for four people, two dogs AND provisions! Plus, she’s awesome to take out fishing, crabbing, prawning or just exploring! There’s lots of room for two people, 2 dogs plus a prawn and crab trap! The rod holders are built in from the factory in Courtenay so she’s ready to go anyway for a fishing trip.

Thank you guys so much for the amazing work you do! I know at some point I will have to retire from the yachting life but my Wolf will be with me and passed down in my family.
