“Great sandwich and drinks. Stopped in twice on our last visit to Denman. Highly recommend dropping in and having lunch. Some fresh baked goods are available my son loved the banana bread. They also have ice cream ! Store has a good selection of books and even some Denman t-shirts. Enjoy the back yard seating in the shade or the sunny seating out front. A must stop spot on the island.”

“Truly magical place. Tachy is the wonderful owner which her son Theo brilliant in the bookshop. We love espresso which can be tricky to get and every single one was totally delicious - super grateful. Lovely garden, welcoming atmosphere, super friendly and great energy. Excited to come back.”

“Such a fabulous gem on a quiet island. The food is lovingly raised, grown, cooked and served in a warm, friendly, quiet outdoor venue on a beautiful farm. Our lunch had an absolutely delicious flavour from a unique blend of spices clearly perfected over time. Incredible mountain views and the ambiance of classic music playing quietly in the background make this a must see spot worthy of going out of the way to an otherwise obscure little island. Highly recommend.”

“Here's what you want to do, order a taco & tamale. Take said taco and dump it on your tamale and smother it in their delicious salsa verde. Side note: Grab a beer from the store and relax in the shade 😉 4 stars because I found the pork a wee dry.”

“The place is close to the ferry and close to a really nice hostel. It’s really crowded and a lot of people are taking their food to take away so we had to wait over 30 minutes for our poutine. I was not not a big fan of it but it might be just my personal taste. The place is ok. The service is nice. The prices are high but fair. It’s a classic take a way food shop.”

“Wonderful, if somewhat ramshackle hostel. Amazing value for money. Great cafe for breakfast and lunch. Nice property. sleeping in comfy shacks, trailers, towers. Little rooms in a big garden/yard. Shared washrooms inside the main house where there's a shared kitchen. Walking distance to the VI ferry. Shared washrooms. would absolutely an enthusiastically visit again.”
