Hornby Island Ocean Adventures

A solid fishing trip off of hornby island with some great guides. Local knowledge pays off and hitting the right spot at the right time got us into some amazing fish. It was an unforgettable day and something I’ve never experienced on the East Coast of Vancouver Island. I can’t thank Hornby island ocean adventures enough. Whether you get fish or not they are in it for the overall experience and go above and beyond to make your trip everything you’re hoping for. Whether you’re a family looking to see some whales, catch a few fish and have a swim in the Georgia straight … or just looking to hook into some fish, these guys put everything they can into exceeding expectations, which really comes down to making the most of whatever our ocean throws at you. Today it all came together and I’m very grateful for an experience we won’t forget. Thanks guys, can’t wait to do it again sometime soon.

I gotta say I've been fish off hornby my entire life and all I know is I absolutely hate fishing, but the once a year I go with Jesse Berg makes me not want to sink my boat. And let me tell you, unlike my child hood when he's done coaching you you'll not even consider taking a swing at him, absolute pleasure and highly recommended for someone who hates the water.

What a great outing! Jesse took 3 kids (6,9,11) and 2 adults out for a 4 hour salmon charter. We got our first bite 20 minutes out of the marina and hooked 7 more during the evening. Everybody got a chance to reel in a fish My boy got the only keeper - a massive Chinook which was expertly cleaned and fileted when we got back to the dock. Jesse was super patient and a fantastic guide answering all kinds of questions from the kids. Definitely will be back again!

Jesse made our summer trip to Hornby a absolute highlight! We had a amazing time on his boat and hauling in a serious dinner for the BBQ while getting to see some wildlife along the way. What an excellent way to get out with an incredible local guide, hands down one of the best guided fishing trips we have had!

Jesse is an all-star charter guide! A few of us boys went out, and the one shelling out for the trip had never caught a fish in his life...or even held a rod. Jesse got us a monster salmon and we listened to rock n roll the whole time. It wasn't the best weather conditions, but Jesse made some calls and did some expert navigation to get us to the primo fishing spots. We had the smoothest ride possible and it was perfect. 5 stars, amigo.
