(October 18, 2016, 3:10 pm)Need a new tube, tire, derailleur cable, or even a brand new bike? Hornby Island Outdoor is the only shop on Hornby where you can get replacement parts but they do it really well. In the summer there is a mechanic in the shop every day and unless you're looking for something very specialized, they'll probably have it.
Being 2 ferries away from any other bike shop means that getting stock is pretty expensive so you'll pay a bit more than you will in a larger center but faced with a full day of travel to go to the next larger shop and... well.. you do the math.
They also have skimboards, trail maps, clothing, etc.
