(September 3, 2021, 7:37 pm)We came for a few days and ended up staying almost 3 weeks. The hosts are wonderful, incredibly generous people. The 2 week meditation program - put on yearly in August - was very worthwhile for us. We highly recommend it for those curious about Vipassana or for those looking to take the next step in their meditation practice. We tented in the back of the property, which is a magical microcosm of Hornby nature. The heated outdoor shower under the stars was a highlight (not to mention the delicious food!). The hosts lent us bikes to explore the island before and after the retreat and really made us feel at home our whole stay. We won't forget the magical land, valuable teachings, and generosity we experienced here. Our favorite place on Hornby (and Vancouver) Island by far. We hope to return soon.
