So clean didn’t have to re-clean anything! Every room well-equipped with good quality, functional amenities & appliances. BBQ Keurig & regular ground coffeemaker great to have. Had all equipment needed to cook hot breakfasts, prepare full dinner with serving platters & smoothies. Furniture was in great condition & perfect for our needs (family 5 Adults). Loft pullout sofabed was comfy, best views but no blinds on large picture windows so bring eye masks if you like to sleep in (both Upper Master bedroom & Loft sofabed). Desk & several tables made it easy to do remote “WFH” in a shared space. Wi-Fi very good (even from the outdoor patio table!). Portable cooler (& ice packs in freezer) for your day trip lunch/snacks. Hot tub! Muskoka chairs around a bonfire pit next to beach for s’mores! 4 Zero Gravity reclining beach chairs were so comfortable!! Supplies provided: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishwasher tabs, dish soap, scrub brush, tea/dish towels, hand soap, a large assortment of spices, a starter kit of Keurig coffee pods, paper towels, toilet paper, aluminum foil, Saran Wrap, etc. Lots of games, etc. & great chess set, bean bag toss. Beach is rocky & shallow (as it is in most places on Vancouver island). Bring water shoes. Responsive hosts (Russ & his daughter Ashley): had issues w the Queen bed on main floor -has since replaced mattress. Location: great base for Comox Valley, Campbell River, Parksville. Car a necessity. 5-30min. easy drive to grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, leisure activities. Denman/ Hornby Island ferry (1-1.5hrs each way), Fanny Bay Seafood Shop are 5min. away. Kingfisher resort (10min. away, waterfront, upscale gourmet dining all day), Locals, Martine’s Bistro (watervw from patio), Blackfin Pub (waterviews, min. age 19yrs+), 40 Knots Winery (wine tasting & fresh authentic French baguette, charcuterie board). Bottomline: we loved it here & look forward to returning soon!! Thanks to Russ & Ashley for checking in often, offering ideas, etc.
