I'm not a very sentimental person, but one of the few pictures I have around my house if of my friends at Coastal Mission. Any time I missed a ferry headed to Thetis I was welcome to drop by and chat, and they even had a going-away barbeque for my friends and I (mostly for Viola, really), and they are just really lovely people!

The work they do is so selfless - they hop aboard a purpose-built boat that sails up and down the West coast of Canada and the U.S. visiting with people who may not see any other outsiders at all for months at a stretch. These trips take weeks or months, and while the end goal is evangelism, the best part is the journey. Each and every person that works here can go on for hours about all the interesting people they've met, and may ask you to pray for many of those individuals' struggles.

Part of me really wanted to join them on their adventures...
