Lovely assortment of jams, berries and veggies. Their raspberry and rhubarb jam is wonderful, I use it often to make thumbprint cookies. I’ll be honest though, the last batch of blueberries haven’t been as fresh as they usually are, guessing it’s because of the recent heatwave that’s messed with most production. Other than that, cute little joint for grabbing some homemade jam and/or berries.
Edit: Went back yesterday and was gifted a box of delicious blueberries!
Over and above the freshest vegetables and fruit we found so far, there is never ending supply of new products made with great care and the highest quality.
The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful
Super asparagus cranky proprietor. Love his deprecating humour - or was he just tired after a long day?
This little market on a dead end street was recommended to me by a local shop owner. It is a fabulous little market stall! Homemade jams and jellies and wonderful fresh produce and it's owned by a lovely family and their equally adorable dog! Just across the road from them is an asparagus farm. The people at the asparagus place should take some customer service lessons from the lady at Local Flavours! I never drive by Cowichan Bay to shop at this market and you shouldn't either!
I love this place! They have a wide assortment of organic produce and poultry they grow right there on the farm. Pro tip: Don't miss out on the Rainier cherries in early June.
