Hicks Barber Shop

Great haircut. This is now my go-to place. I was ready to go to a girly salon and pay 60 bucks for a haircut because I had so many bad ones around town, but this place gave me a perfect cut for 17 dollars. Of course I tipped since she deserved some of that money I was going to spend at the salon. Great, clean atmosphere, and a cool, well mannered dog to hang out with. I legit spend $25 on a cab to get here and then I always tip. Its worth it to avoid the frustration of a bad haircut.

Great Hair and Beard cuts/trims and they have free beer! Great prices. If I didn't live in Duncan, I would travel to get my hair cut at this place. Nice people. A home town attitude, friendly and affordable, but they do a professional job. I don't tell them, but they could be charging a lot more than they do. That just means that they get a little extra tip. I enjoy tipping people who deserve it! Very happy and pleased with how they trimmed my beard too. I have gone to a lot of places that specialize in beards and they have always failed...except Hicks! Hicks people take their time and they seem more like "artists" than hair cutters. I know that I am laying it on a little thick, but it annoys me when you go to a trendy hipster hair salon just to get screwed with the price and they're poor skills. So finding a place like Hicks is a refreshing find. Did I mentions that they actually have FREE beer too. I hope it's legal! lol

I have been looking for a good barber for a few years and now my search is over. This place is great! Who thought that I'd find the perfect hair cutter and beard trimmer in Duncan BC of all places? They even have free beer! Yup! FREE BEER! My hair looks great and they did a very good job on my beard. I went from looking homeless, to looking like a cool guy. But seriously, this place does a good job and are very nice. The cost is quite reasonable. Much less than I expected. So giving a bigger tip was appropriate.
