Love the teails and the big campgrounds, for me camping without hooks ups is no longer an option
Amazing place! Abundance of parking available on day beach! Lots of picnic tables and swimming area is secured.
A heated washroom, a shower room and taps available beside picnic tables for water supplies!
Would love to go there on a sunny day. Pictures are from a smokey day from the wild fire!
Really enjoyed my time camping here. We were near the playground and bike park so access was very convenient for my kids. The water and beach are nice as well. I wasnt that impressed with the sand/gravel beach (it's kinda like 3/4 crushed in some spots) but we still managed to make some sandcastles and dig holes so not so bad. No dog policy on beaches during summer is clearly in need of an overhaul. Why not make it from 8am to 8pm? Nobody is on the beach after that and the sun is behind the trees anyways so it's cold. Anyways, that's my dog rant. 5 stars, keep it up.
Great BC Provincial Park for camping. The playground was great for the kids, the bike park was neat too! Well run park, friendly staff, clean too! The firewood is a huge rip off and good but there are some great stands on the way there for cheaper firewood.
Some very lovely places at the day beach if you go just passed the logs the water is wavier as the logs work as a barrier. The rocky area has beautiful clear water that quickly becomes deep but the rocks are very slippery. The beach isn't really sand but a finer gravel would still recommend water shoes or crocks for the average soft footed person. Bathrooms nearby. Small parking lot but plenty of road parking.
