Dr froze is the best doctor I’ve ever had in my life. Super caring and compassionate. And he never rushes you even though he is usually behind. Someone give this man a raise! He works too hard!
Doc Froise is the best doc i have ever had.never rushes you.and yes u have to wait a bit.and thats ok .excellant.i drive up there from Duncan thats how good he is
Please put up a sign asking people not to use cell phones in the waiting room.
The main doctor who covers walk ins is great, and thorough. I genuinely feel like he cares about his patients and you can feel it.
That being said, the walk in procedure here is needlessly painful, and should be redesigned.
This is what a patient experiences as a walk in.
A patient walks in to the office before they are able to sign up as a walk-in patient. The patient is told to wait in a seperate hallway full of chairs. The time to sign in comes, and in no discernable order, patients file in from the chairs. Today, I arrived third in the waiting area, but ended up as seventh patient to be signed in.
Next, the kind receptionist (and they are kind) breaks the news for you that you will be seen in an hour. You leave, and call in in an hour, and the receptionist tells you to come in in 30 minutes. You arrive to find out that no single walk in patient has been seen, and you will need to wait another hour. You are also informed that you cannot leave the office after 4:45pm as they lock the doors.
So now you are stuck in an office, hoping to see a doctor before you pass out from kidney stone pain.
Here's a simple solution: A sign up sheet, or a number machine put outside the doctor's office. Patients can ask for the approximate wait time, and the patients being served currently can check a Twitter handle for updates. "Patient 8 now served" No one has to wait in line, no one has to lay on the floor doubled over in pain. At the very least the Clinic can tweet out when it is beginning walk in patients.
Or, we simply get another practise in Lake Cowichan, because we sorely need one able to handle this exploding town.
TLDR: Doctor is great, lack of patient organization will waste an entire day of your life.
Dr. Froese, Is amazingly dedicated doctor. Although often behind, it is worth the wait as there is never a rush and he is very thorough.
