Dovehill House

I spent four months working here while I was in university.. many years ago. After working at a number of homes this one still stands out as being the best. A lovely atmosphere surrounded by kind people who care deeply about the residents. I think of Dovehill House often and dream to open up a similar place one day.

I'm a kind of hard to impress person but this facility is one of the best kept secrets in the Valley. If you are looking for a more friendly and personal touch for a loved one who can no longer remain at home and wouldn't do well in an institutional setting, I highly recommend Dovehill House. The staff are very friendly and caring, the food is very good (it smells delicious to me) and the intimacy of the dining and living rooms is very warm and inviting. Fireplaces in each of these rooms with a majestic view of the ocean and mountains. They go all out at Christmas for the residents and their guests. An RN on staff, as well as many knowledgeable care workers (emphasis on care). We couldn't be happier with the care they have provided to my stepfather and are relieved that he has settled in so well over the last few months.

Dovehill House is an 18 resident bed independent to assisted living unit home. The staff are friendly, 24 hour staffing. The home has a beautiful panoramic view of the harbour and boasts a courtyard with lovely flower gardens. The home offers many activities, and three delicious meals cooked on site.
